Views from St Lucia

There are cascading waterfalls but the orphans never get to go to the beach maybe Cathleen will take them!
Beaches are beautiful

Resort Beach at St Lucia but Cathleen will be on the Poor Side with poverty and poor housing and orphans

Wouldn't it be great if St. Francis Borgia teens could go to!

Advent Simple Prayers

!Feliz Navidad!        Joyeux Noel!       Merry Christmas!       Blessings!

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, God is with us.”       Matthew 1:2

Christmas sometimes seems like this long, long marathon race where the finish line is Christmas Day. I decided to slow down and figure out a way to mesh tree trimming with family prayer time. At prayer time we read passages from Luke, Isaiah, Matthew and then each of us adds a special ornament to the tree. Sometimes I think I tend to "Hurry Up" everything like another notch on the to do belt. Here is a reflective saying for Christmas, author unknown:

        “So remember while December
brings the only Christmas Day….
             In the year let there be Christmas;
In the things you do and say

Wouldn't life be worth the living…  Wouldn't dreams be coming true?
If we kept the Christmas spirit….
 All the whole year through?”

Advent Week 2 and 3: Finding Christ in Christmas at Advent Lutheran Church

Busy, Busy, Busy--Christmas Buying, Baking and Decorating--But.. I 'm glad I went with the St. Francis Borgia Youth to an Advent Service at Advent Lutheran Church in  downtown Cedarburg.
Everyone  shared a simple meal of soup and pasta and then went up to the Sanctuary for an Advent Service. The liturgy was simple and meaningful and thanks to all who made it possible. I hope to bring my family next Wednesday.
Advent Lutheran also has this :

Cedarburg's 14th Annual Live Nativity

Sunday School children from the community will be performing the Live Nativity on 3 Fridays in December: 2nd, 9th & 16th. Performances will be at 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 & 8:00PM depending upon the weather. Come one, come all for this family event in Cedarburg held in Advent's side yard to the south.
