Advent Simple Prayers

          !Feliz Navidad!        Joyeux Noel!       Merry Christmas!       Blessings!

                  “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, God is with us.”       Matthew 1:2

Christmas sometimes seems like this long, long marathon race where the finish line is Christmas Day. I decided to slow down and figure out a way to mesh tree trimming with family prayer time. At prayer time we read passages from Luke, Isaiah, Matthew and then each of us adds a special ornament to the tree. Sometimes I think I tend to "Hurry Up" everything like another notch on the to do belt. Here is a reflective saying for Christmas, author unknown:

        “So remember while December 
brings the only Christmas Day….

             In the year let there be Christmas; 
 In the things you do and say

                
Wouldn't life be worth the living…  Wouldn't dreams be coming true?

      If we kept the Christmas spirit….
 All the whole year through?”
